Brendan Brides, a native of Ireland, emigrated to the United States in 1986 and has resided in Sandwich, along with his wife Gail ever since. Brendan worked for many years as a building contractor on Cape Cod where he oversaw the construction of many fine houses in his career. In 2013 he accepted a position as building commissioner for a local municipality. He continues in that position today.

  • Boston Helicopter Company 1989 – 2000 Flight Instructor/Line Pilot.
  • Town of Sandwich 2013 – present, Building Commissioner, oversees all permit issuance, code compliance and zoning compliance for the Town of Sandwich.
  • Christ the King, Mashpee, Deacon 2013 – present.
